What are your choices?

Retiring earlier or later

meerofminder_68.png

Rather than retiring at the age of 68, you can choose to continue working for longer. In that case, you can have the payment of your retirement pension deferred until you actually retire. If you retire later, the retirement pension you have accrued is increased. You will also continue to accrue your pension if you carry on working. The terms and conditions of deferring your pension can be found in the pension regulations.

You may also choose to retire earlier than at 68. This means that your retirement pension will be lower. Retiring early thus has financial consequences. Pension accrual stops earlier and retirement pension is reduced. You should also bear in mind that state retirement pension (AOW) will probably commence later than your early retirement pension. Visit www.svb.nl to see when your AOW pension commences.

Note: You can only make this choice once! Once you have made this choice, you can no longer change it.
