When you die, your children are paid an orphan’s pension. The extent of the orphan’s pension is based on the old-age pension you would have received, if you had continued to accrue pension until the age of 68. In principle, the orphan's pension applies to children up to 18 years of age. Children who are incapacitated for work or are still studying can receive benefits up to the age of 27, for the duration of their studies.
